Description
Lord Buddha is seated in dhyana asana, the meditative pose which is
also called padmasana. In this position the legs are crossed
closely locked with the soles of both feet visible. All seated
Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are found in this position. He is seated
on a single lotus throne.
His hands are in the namaste mudra also known as the anjali mudra, the gesture of prayer and greeting. In this gesture the hands are kept closed to the chest in devotional attitude with the palms and fingers joined.
This sculpture is entirely hand carved and hand painted in Bali, Indonesia. Every piece is truly unique!
